Kennards Self Storage is seeking an experienced Finance Manager – Accounting & Reporting to join our finance team on a 3 to 6 month contract, with potential to become permanent. This is a hands-on leadership role for a technically strong finance professional who can quickly add value across reporting, compliance, controls and team support.

About the role

 

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead core accounting and reporting activities, support the finance team and help maintain strong financial governance during a busy period for the business. The role suits someone who is confident operating at both a detailed technical level and a broader team leadership level.

What you’ll focus on

  •         Leading month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting and                                      reporting processes.
  •         Supporting statutory reporting, tax compliance, audit requirements and related              workpapers.
  •         Maintaining strong balance sheet governance, reconciliations, controls and                  financial discipline.
  •         Coaching and supporting the accounting team, including priorities, deadlines                and backup coverage.
  •         Working with finance colleagues and business stakeholders to provide clear,                reliable financial information.
  • ·       Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting quality and                systems use.

What we’re looking for

  •          CA/CPA qualification with strong post-qualification finance experience.
  •          Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, tax and audit experience.
  •          Proven ability to lead, coach or support finance team members.
  •          Practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and sound                           judgment.
  •         Clear communication style and the ability to work collaboratively across the                  business.
  •         Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work to deadlines.
  •         Workday Finance skills and experience highly regarded.
